If you’re anything like me, finding that one place that seamlessly transitions from a productive coffee spot to a fun cocktail bar is the ultimate dream. And I’ve found it right here in the South of the Metro. Say hello to Tipple Cafe.
Tipple Cafe in Molito not just another restaurant. It’s an all-in-one experience that genuinely captures the best of the Southie lifestyle. From the moment we stepped inside, we immediately found the ambiance and vibe captivating.

The interiors are cozy yet stylish with warm lighting and an elevated, laid-back feel. It’s chic enough for a first date but also comfortable enough for a working afternoon or just to chill. It really feels like the “more grown-up version” of its Katipunan counterpart, Tipple & Slaw, which co-founder Janus Naval admits was the intention.
“As partners, we’re getting older, and our habits and hobbies have started to evolve. Tipple Cafe is a more grown-up version of Tipple & Slaw, now catering to the whole family,” he explains.
What truly sets Tipple Cafe apart is its ability to nail every part of the day. “We’ve expanded our offerings to welcome coffee lovers, working professionals, sophisticated cocktail drinkers, and of course, the millennials,” Janus expounds. “While our DJs and parties still bring the energy at night, we now strike a balance by serving our morning and afternoon crowd just as thoughtfully.”

Of course, I need to talk about the food. Tipple Cafe has mastered the art of taking familiar dishes and giving them a bold, unique flavor twist. You simply have to try the Tipple Shawarma Rice or the Tipple Steak Rice. These best-sellers are flavor-packed, hearty, and exactly the kind of comfort food that will make you keep thinking about it long after you’ve left.
My personal all-time favorite? The Chorizo Melt – and make sure you dip it in their Tomato Soup! We actually ended up ordering seconds for that one, but seriously, everything at Tipple Cafe is so good. Even their Caesar Fried Chicken Salad comes with a piece of chicken so big, it was a full meal on its own.
Once the sun sets, the vibe of Tipple Cafe somehow effortlessly shifts gears. This is when the name “Tipple” (an old English word meaning to drink alcohol regularly) really comes to life.

While my friends and I didn’t stay too late – this time, anyway 😉 – we did get to enjoy some expertly crafted cocktails, even requesting some that weren’t on the menu. The drinks definitely ensured that our day ended on a high note. Without a doubt, the team behind Tipple has successfully struck the perfect balance of day and night.
They’re truly becoming a community hub as well because they’re always hosting something. After their grand opening in October, they will be apparently launching themed nights(!!!), and you should definitely watch out for their upcoming Halloween party on October 31st as well (PSA: that’s a Friday – talk about perfection!).
