The classic sweet sponge cake you all know and love is replaced with a cornbread cake, while mashed potatoes become the icing. A helping of bacon bits goes on top, along with the finisher: deep-fried crispy chicken wings and gravy to serve as the cake’s crowning glory. And if you’re feeling fancy, you can even pair this with some cognac.
