Well that’s one heck of an incentive!

86 out of 112 bar passers from the University of Santo Tomas went on a vacation to remember after their law school dean treated them to a three-day trip to Boracay!
One of these lucky bar passers, Rafael Lorenz Santos, documented the entire thing on Twitter, which quickly went viral.

Speaking to WhenInManila.com, Santos shared that UST Faculty of Civil Law’s Dean Nilo Divina promised to treat the class to the trip during their send-off ceremonies in November, if they reached a 100-percent passing rate in the Bar exams, as well as make it to the top 10.
Although the batch fell a bit short of the goal by five percent, in true lawyer fashion, their batch appealed to the dean to push through with the trip:
During our testimonial dinner, one of our batchmates petitioned Dean Nilo Divina to push through with the Bora trip. All of a sudden, CA Justice Amy Javier, also a professor in the Faculty of Civil Law, stood up, took the mic and ordered Dean Divina to grant our petition. In no uncertain words, Dean Divina stated, “Petition granted!”
That’s not all this lucky class received, though. According to Santos, each of the passers received P5,000 in cash, as well as a Parker pen from their dean!
Congratulations to the Bar passers!
