The Purple Owl Tagaytay: A Hidden Place Worth Visiting

The Purple Owl Tagaytay

Our 4-course meal

First, they served us a warm bowl of soup. (I love that they gave us different types of food to try, so we were able to share and enjoy both of the set menus that they had to offer.)

 My Cream of Broccoli Soup

I love how distinct the tastes were in each bowl that we got. The soup made us warm with every sip that we took. We exchanged bowls from time to time since we really enjoyed them both.

Next up was the salad…

Mine was The Purple Owl Salad

I’m not sure if the photos I took gave justice to the freshness of the veggies, though. There was “crunch” with every bite that I took while enjoying the salad. The dressing was also delicious and made the vegetables even more appetizing!

We were so excited to get to the main course that we quickly finished our soups and salads. Our taste buds were psyched to experience a very special home-cooked meal – but at a restaurant for a change!

Hubby’s Beef in Beer

My Rosemary Chicken

Just PERFECT! Both meals were cooked just right! The flavors were oozing with every bite.

Hubby got all giddy when he read the “beer” part on his main course. True enough, his dish did not disappoint. The beef was so soft and there was just the right amount of beer taste in it.  He is not really a fan of mashed potatoes, though, so I was surprised to see him eating (and finishing) this one. He said he loved how they cooked and flavored their version of mashed potatoes.

My dish, on the other hand, was not only a sight to behold, but was also one flavorful experience for me! The chicken was cooked to perfection and I could taste the herbs and spices  with every bite! I also loved that it was paired with baby potatoes.

After our hearty meal, we were treated to dessert. The night wouldn’t be complete without having something sweet, after all.

Mrs.G’s Bread Pudding

I’m a fan of Red Velvet, so the hubby and I decided to exchange our little plates. I love that both desserts weren’t too sweet. In fact, they made us crave for more!

Our dessert also came with a cup of warm coffee for the hubby and a small hot cocoa for me. I super loved my hot cocoa!!

When in Manila – or, well, Tagaytay – The Purple Owl Tagaytay really made our Valentine’s Day extra special that night. From the decor to the food to the ambiance, everything was made and served with love.

So, all you lovely people out there, be sure to check out The Purple Owl Tagaytay and experience a one-of-a-kind dining experience! They are open for reservations and they also do their own decor depending on the event you want to celebrate.
