The Purple Owl Tagaytay

Last February 14, my hubby and I got the chance to experience a new dining place hidden in Tagaytay.

The Purple Owl Tagaytay just opened its doors this year, with this Valentine’s Dinner being their 1st official event. This lovely place is owned by Ms.Paula Yonzon and her family. Their idea is to serve home-made comfort food right in their own backyard while transforming their place into different themes every month.

It was a cold and chilly night when we drove to their place.

The dinner started at 7PM and lasted until a little over 10PM. We dined under the starry night sky.

Starry, starry night

A cozy little nook

The setup made us feel at home and it made the cold night even more romantic. I love every detail they’ve put into each corner of the place. The dinner was set up in the owner’s own garden under the starry night sky.

Flowers!

When we got seated, I couldn’t help but notice our table setup, either. It was so nice and well thought out. The owner really put a lot of effort into making this night memorable for all of us.

Dinner for TWO!

We were all set for our 4-course meal. I was so excited to see what The Purple Owl Tagaytay had to offer that night. They specialize in family-owned recipes already loved by many even before they decided to open up their home to the public and every meal was carefully made and prepared by the owner’s mom.

Dark Chocolate Fondue + Fresh Fruits and Sweets!

First they served us an appetizer: a bowl full of fresh fruits, sweets (marshmallows, macarons) and a very delicious cup of melted dark chocolate! YUM! The chocolate dip really complimented everything that was dipped into it!

You can never go wrong with strawberries and melted chocolate!

Next, they served us our meal one at a time, letting us enjoy the moment as we got serenaded by Paula’s uncle.
