The Mean Girls Are Back!!!
Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert recently reunited to reprise their roles in the remarkable 2004 chick flick “Mean Girls!” This reunion was made for the Walmart Black Friday Sale advertisement so it’s really just a quick, short, get-together…but I definitely enjoyed seeing Cady Heron, Karen Smith, Gretchen Weiners, and more “Mean Girls” characters back together at North Shore High School!
In case you’re wondering how the Mean Girls would have lived in the year 2023, this is it! Of course, the ad is set at the iconic school where it all started. However, it opens with a trio of Gen Z plastics, apparently mentored by Gretchen (Chabert) – this era’s cool mom. On the other hand, Karen (Seyfried) continues to channel her inner ESPN or something on TV as a weathergirl.
As for Cady (Lohan), she has taken on the role of the school’s guidance counselor, which explains why she still voices over the school’s happenings!

In addition to Lohan, Seyfried, and Chabert, the commercial also featured other “Mean Girls” cast such as Daniel Franzese (Damien Leigh) and Rajiv Surendra (Kevin Gnapoor)! They are also joined by Missy Elliot, who seemed to have replaced the scandalous Coach Carr.
Rachel McAdams sadly did not appear on the two-minuter, leading fans to believe that maybe Regina George has moved on to greener pastures—Aww, but good for her.
Nevertheless, from the cast, set, and costumes, to the copy, storyboard, and soundtrack – it’s absolutely GROOL! Watch the 2023 “Mean Girls” reunion below!
Lindsay Lohan also shared the video on her socials as a sponsored post, captioning it with a “Mean Girls” reference as well that seamlessly ties in with the American retail giant’s campaign. “Get in, besties. We’re going shopping. #BlackFridayDeals go live next week,” she wrote.
