The Lego Movie Block Screening at Rockwell Cinema: A Movie for All Ages

The Lego Movie Block Screening at Rockwell Cinema: A Movie for All Ages

When in Manila, there are a lot of good movies showing this month, and The Lego Movie is one of them. If you are a kid or a kid at heart, this movie is really for you. Most of us have this dream of creating our own world. Well, Lego was created one for people who are both creative and imaginative when it comes to things.

This story follows Emmet (Chris Pratt), an ordinary, rules- following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person on the planet, to save Lego Land from Lord Business (Will Ferrell). He is drafted into a fellowship of master builders on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously under prepared.

There are also a lot of other well-known characters in this movie, including Batman, Green Lantern, Superman, Wonder Woman and many more. I recommend this movie for the whole family. Plus, there is also a lesson that you can learn from it. (“Cant say what lesson it is, but it is for the viewers to find out.”)

What I can say about this movie, though, is that it will bring out the kid in you. Everyone of us has this fantasy of having our own world where we are the master builders, but sometimes we neglect the aspects of being free and hold everything back. This movie will teach you that it is never too late to have fun, no matter how old you are.

When in Manila, I would definitely recommend this movie to people of all ages, especially to those who love Lego as much as I do.
