Cinemint Film Festival 2026 is bringing four days of film, learning, and community to Metro Manila this October 21–24, with a lineup of workshops, screenings, student films, and a full-day festival experience through Nextival 2026.
Organized by Cinemint, MINT College’s cinema appreciation organization, the festival aims to create a space where students, filmmakers, and film enthusiasts can come together to watch films, learn from industry practitioners, and connect through a shared appreciation for cinema.
The festival opens on October 21 with a cinematography workshop presented by Sony × MINT College at MINT College – Ortigas East. The workshop, “Cinematography: Start with Truly SEEING,” will explore the fundamentals and creative possibilities of cinematography.
The following days will continue with lighting and cinematography workshops in partnership with Nanlite and Aputure, giving MINT film and non-film students, as well as student filmmakers from outside the school, an opportunity to learn more about professional lighting equipment and its practical applications in filmmaking.
The festival culminates on October 24 with Nextival 2026, a full-day festival at Archive Haus in Pasig City. The event will bring together films, performances, booths, and other activities in one space, creating an opportunity for students, filmmakers, and creatives to meet, discover new work, and simply spend a day immersed in cinema.
Nextival will also feature the festival’s film screenings, including selected entries from the Cinemint Film Festival 2026 and its Inter-University Shorts selection, alongside performances and other festival activities throughout the day.
With this year’s festival, Cinemint continues its goal of making cinema appreciation more accessible to the MINT community and beyond, creating opportunities not only to watch films but also to learn, participate, and connect with other people who share the same interest in film.
Cinemint Film Festival 2026 runs from October 21–24, 2026. Workshops and screenings from October 21–23 will be held at MINT College – Ortigas East, while Nextival 2026 will take place at Archive Haus, Pasig City, on October 24.
