Happening on October 17, 2026, at Bulwagang Balagtas, 4th Floor, Ninoy Aquino Library and Learning Resources Center (NALLRC) Building, PUP A. Mabini Campus, Sta. Mesa, Manila, FreshIE Dive invites incoming Industrial Engineering freshmen to explore the opportunities, challenges, and experiences that await them in college.

Inspired by an under-the-sea adventure, the event carries the theme “Into the Blue: Discovering the Depth of Possibilities.” The ocean represents the vast and unfamiliar world that freshmen are about to enter, where every wave brings a new experience, every current represents a transition, and every discovery opens another possibility. More importantly, just as marine ecosystems thrive through interconnectedness, the IE community grows through collaboration, friendship, and mutual support.

The event features a combination of informative sessions, interactive activities, and competitions designed to help freshmen become more familiar with the Industrial Engineering program, PIIE-PUPSC, the university environment, and the people who will become part of their college journey. A guest speaker will also share insights and experiences relevant to students as they begin navigating university life and their future in Industrial Engineering.

Freshmen can also look forward to exciting activities such as IE Yell, where blocks showcase their unity, identity, and spirit; The Fresh Frames, a creative video challenge that captures each block’s personality and first impressions of their IE journey; and Sink or Sync, an interactive team activity that puts collaboration, creativity, and camaraderie to the test. The program will also feature Sea-ng Along, along with icebreakers, performances, a raffle, and other activities that bring the freshmen closer together.

More than just an orientation, FreshIE Dive 2026 is an invitation to explore beyond the surface. It aims to give every freshman the confidence to embrace the unknown, discover their potential, build meaningful connections, and find their place within the IE community.

So, freshmen, gear up, take a deep breath, and dive into the blue! Your Industrial Engineering journey is about to begin, and there is a whole ocean of possibilities waiting to be discovered.
