The Boys is officially gearing up for its final run. Prime Video has confirmed that season five will premiere on April 8, 2026, marking the beginning of the show’s last chapter. The upcoming season will consist of eight episodes, starting with a two-episode premiere, followed by weekly releases every Wednesday until the series finale in May.

What to expect in the final season
Homelander appears to be at the height of his power, with the world largely under his influence. Meanwhile, members of The Boys face major setbacks—Hughie, MM, and Frenchie are reportedly imprisoned in a “Freedom Camp,” while Annie attempts to organize a resistance against the overwhelming Supe presence.
Billy Butcher is also set to return, bringing with him a dangerous new plan involving a Supe-targeting virus that could potentially eliminate all Supes.
With the series heading into its final season, the stakes are expected to be higher than ever—not just for Homelander, but for several major characters whose fates remain uncertain.
