It’s a very good week for A Very Good Girl as the film earned over P100 million at the local box office.
According to Star Cinema, which distributed the movie, “Thank you for making a very good choice to get our local cinemas up and running again. Let us keep up the Philo-menal support for our local films❣️”
On Instagram, director Petersen Vargas wrote, “100,000,000 THANK YOUs — I wanna hug every1 who came to see #AVeryGoodGirl in the cinemas 🩸❤️🔥”
Kathryn Bernardo, one of the stars in the film, said, “100 million?!!! You have no idea how much this gives us hope for the Philippine cinema. Thank you so much for all your love and support! 🙏🏻🥹”

A Very Good Girl is a dark comedy film that follows the story of two self-made women. Bernardo co-stars with Dolly de Leon, Jake Ejercito, Angel Aquino, and Chie Filomeno.
The film was released in Philippine cinemas on September 27, 2023, and in the US starting the first week of October.
It is still showing in Philippine cinemas in its third week.
