How would you define sulit?

Well, for me, sulit can be defined in five words: Tempura Japanese Grill’s Group Meals!

Yes, Tempura Japanese Grill now serves meal sets – good for groups of four – to satisfy all Japanese food lovers with big appetites!

You can choose from their three Japanese food set offerings according to your liking: Hokkaido, Osaka or Fuji. I went to Tempura Japanese Grill SM MOA for dinner with some When in Manila friends and tried out their Hokkaido set.

For only P1299, the Japanese food spread is complete with Ebi Tempura, Tuna Sashimi, California Maki, Tori Teppenyaki, Crispy Surobota, Gyoza, Gohan and your choice of iced tea or Pepsi. Woah. Can you believe that? Plus Tempura Japanese Grill‘s servings are really huge, so you can actually tag one more friend along to join in the feast! More food, more friends, more fun!

To be honest, it was my first time to eat sashimi. I was actually reluctant at first because it’s raw. But I put on a brave face and conquered it! To my surprise, it was really good; it melts in your mouth like ice. Dip it in their sauce with a bit of wasabi (or more, depends on you!) for more flavor.

The maki was the ultimate hit, though! The girls were really happy with every roll that they put in their mouths.

Then the tempura came. I would’ve been more than happy to eat this alone. However, I restrained myself because I remembered I needed to share. Haha.

Their Gyoza is good, too! It’s super meaty and packed with taste.

We had a slight argument whether Crispy Surobuta is made out of beef or pork. Good thing their staff was nice enough to inform us that it is actually made of pork. It’s truly crispy on the outside, but tender in the inside. The sweetness of the pork spreads in the mouth. One of my favorites!

The Tori Teppenyaki was served last. More pork! But the bean sprouts on the side made the dish less sinful.

We all enjoyed the viands with a cup of Gohan, as well. The name reminded me of Dragon Ball Z because, as we all know, it’s Goku’s son’s name (anime fan mode on).
