Kiwa Korean Grill Dining: Authentic, Fresh, and Cozy Ambiance, All in One Beautiful Place

Last week was my busiest week, specifically, last Thursday. I’ve been in back to back meetings and events. It’s been awhile since I was actively out like this. No complaints at all, as it was indeed a pleasurable and productive week!

Kiwa Korean Grill

One of the pleasant events I had last week was with Kiwa Korean Grill Dining.

Kiwa Korean Grill

Kiwa is located inside Solaire Resort & Casino. It has 184 seating capacity. In addition, Kiwa is a fine dining Korean barbecue restaurant, the only one in South East Asia.

They have 8 private dining rooms which can be expanded into one big private room. It can accommodate up to 48 persons. Furthermore, they accept small functions and/or special gatherings.

Their smallest private room can accommodate 8-10 persons.

So, when I got the invitation, two things came to mind: (1) “Cravings satisfied! and (2) “Oh no, I might smell like smoke from the Barbecue after the bloggers’ lunch!” Obviously, I didn’t want to smell like food or barbecue because, the event after Kiwa was the 50 Shades, The Musical Parody!

Imagine, I smell like barbecue in between these two handsome men?! So, embarrassing!

What I did was, I brought a change clothes just in case. Surprisingly enough, I didn’t need to. And, that’s what sets Kiwa Korean Grill Dining apart from other restaurants.

Let me take you to a virtual tour while I explain why Kiwa Korean Grill Dining is outstanding for me. Are you ready? Here we go:

Kiwa Korean Grill Dining: Authentic, Fresh, and Cozy Ambiance, All in One Beautiful Place

Authentic and Fresh

I always say that it takes an authentic Chef to cook and present the dishes exactly as it would when you dine in the country. Well, Kiwa’s menu was a collaboration among their chefs headed by Gi Won Park.

Head Chef Gi Won Park

“The recipes are authentic. However, sometimes we have to change the service sequence. In Korea, the rice, soup and noodles are served after the grilled meat. Because we believe that if you eat rice, you cannot truly taste the meat. But Filipinos demand their rice with the main course so we have to accommodate that,” explains Park.

So, we started off with their palatable appetizers.

Kiwa Korean Grill

Tomato-Yangsangchu Salad: So refreshing dish. This dish tickled my palette as I couldn’t distinguish if it’s sour, sweet, or something! It just kept me going!

Gobachi- Kiwa Korean Grill

This is Gobachi. It’s a platter of scallop sashimi, steamed shrimp, salmon sashimi, steamed octopus, and marinated tomato. I am not fond of eating raw, so I didn’t eat a lot. I only tried the steamed shrimp and I used the sauce of the marinated tomato, it tasted good for me, though.

Kiwa Korean Grill

One word: Fresh. This is their Haemul Pajeon, a.k.a “pancake.” It’s a mixed seafood, spring onion, and assorted vegetable with spicy soy sauce and sesame oil on the side. Honestly, it’s not oily and not too spicy! (Perfect for me as I don’t eat spicy food!)

Of course, your Korean escapade wouldn’t be complete without the Korean Barbecued Beef Shortribs or “Kalbi!”

Kiwa Korean Grill

They call this Yang Nyeom Gal Bi. The beef was marinated for 48 hours with Kiwa’s special sauce. It was incredibly delicious! The taste of each dish is noticeably clean and refined.
