Are you also a loyal Grab user like me?
In case you didn’t notice in the latest Grab app update, there’s this new option where we can now load-up GrabPay Credits through local banks, ATMs and stores. No more credit card needed (unless you prefer to use it of course). Yep, this new in-app mobile payment solution will enable us to experience the convenience of cashless payments for a more seamless Grab ride experience.
Personally for me, aside from enjoying the convenience of cashless payment, this means I can also budget my monthly Grab expenses as well. You see, I’m a heavy Grab user with an estimated average of spending over 12k monthly for grab rides. With this new feature, I really really hope (fingers crossed haha!) that I can somehow monitor and control my spending. Also, I do have a credit card, but I’m one of those who are too afraid to use my card online, so I always pay in cash, whenever possible. With this new cool feature, I can now conveniently load money to my Grab account directly from my atm savings account.
Loading up will be available at thousands of pre-paid loading locations across the country via the following options:
- Local ATMs including BDO, Chinabank, RCBC, Landbank, PNB, Security Bank and UCPB
- Bank Transfers from BDO, BPI, Metrobank, Chinabank, Landbank, RCBC, Unionbank, UCPB, Eastwest, PNB, Security Bank, RuralNet Bank, Maybank and Sterling Bank of Asia
- Popular e-Money accounts including GCash and Dragonpay
- Credit and debit cards
- Bill Payment Centers like Bayad Center, ECPay, LBC, Cebuana Lhuillier, M Lhuillier, Savemore Bills Payment, SM Bills Payment and Robinsons
GrabPay Credits can be purchased at fixed denominations of Php 200, Php 500 and Php 1000 or a variable amount between Php 200 to Php 7,000. For safety and compliance reasons, GrabPay Credits can only be used for Grab rides from the country of purchase.
Anyways, allow me to show you a helpful step-by-step guide on how to load and get GrabPay Credits.
STEP 1. On the GrabPay menu, select “Top-up Credits”
STEP 2. On the Credits page, select the top-up value and the preferred payment method which will indicate the list of options available.
STEP 3. Follow the instructions for the particular payment method selected.
STEP 4. Once the loading is successful, a pop-up screen will appear with details on the transaction.
STEP 5. The Credits screen reflects the new total balance.
Here’s what you’ll see in your screen when booking….
So easy right? Try it yourself!
Again, Grabpay Credits is ideal for those who still prefer to pay in cash and are too scared to use their credit card online. So far, I’ve never had any difficulty in reloading from my atm account, so it has been part of my regular routine to reload every payday. Furthermore, Grab also provides enticing promos for Grabpay users that’s why I’m always eager to use it. Try it today!
