A busy life requires a great vacation, even if just for a little while. After all, we all need to unwind and refresh our minds, so we can do well at our jobs. For me, great scenery, fresh air, and a comfy bed result in ultimate relaxation. Since I only had 24 hours to stay in Cebu, I therefore decided to stay at a hotel resort, explore the nearby areas and buy pasalubong for my family and friends.
One of the newest hotels and resorts in Cordova, Cebu is Solea Hotel and Resort, a property of Best Western Sandbar Resort Cebu located at Barangay Alegria, Cordova Cebu. Solea Hotel and Resort had their soft opening this March 2016 and they are currently serving guests on 7 of their 12 floors. Right now, they offer the Premier Room with a Sea View, a Garden View, and a City View. Soon, however, they will also be opening their Suite Room and Presidential Room on the 12th floor.

4. Modern Interior Design
The chic design of their lobby caught my eye right away. Since there were no guests at the lobby yet, I was able to enjoy the area and have it all to myself. The place uses modern Filipino furniture and fixtures, which makes it inviting and chic.
3. The Infinity Pool
Their lovely infinity pool is just in front of the lobby and their 24-hour restaurant. They also have 2 extra swimming pools and 1 kiddie pool. Couples, barkadas and families with kids will surely enjoy this place.
2. Spotless and Comfy Room
A spotless room always makes me want to jump onto the bed and stay and sleep on it for the whole day. Sadly, I only had a few hours to sleep in Cebu as I also wanted to explore the Mactan area. My room had 2 double beds with an en-suite bathroom equipped with a rain shower head and hand-held shower, an LED TV, an alarm clock, a personal fridge, a sitting area, a cabinet to place all my bags and (the best part) a sea view and pool area of the hotel and resort.
1. The Sea View
Aside from the comfy bed and clean room with complete room amenities, I also loved the view outside of my room balcony; it spelled total relaxation.
Aside from that, the hotel is also only 15 to 20 minutes away from the airport. The nearest attraction is the Lapu-Lapu shrine, which is only 10 to 15 minutes away. Also, just outside of the shrine is the pasalubong area where you can buy gifts like keychains, t-shirts, fridge magnets (my favorite collectibles) and even guitars (small and normal guitar size).
It was a great short vacation for me, providing me with the relaxation and enjoyment that I needed.
