Solaire’s 2nd Anniversary Menu Specials: A Must-Try!

I was up and about last week, and since it’s Solaire’s second anniversary month, I thought I’d share with you guys some of the anniversary specials that Solaire has to offer in their different restaurants. Some of their restaurants are serving more than one anniversary dish, but these ones are my favorites:

Solaire’s 2nd Anniversary Menu Specials: A Must-Try!

Altimbocca Alla Sorrentina in Finestra

This dish had ground lean beef that was cooked well—little juicy, but not rare. And it’s sitting on top of slightly sweet marinara sauce.

There’s also some melted cheese on top, and prosciutto, probably, if not bacon. Cheese, meat, and marinara sauce? Well, I might as well have gone to heaven and lived to tell the tale. 😉

Waterside Resto Bar’s Paella Valenciana

The Paella Valencia is seriously delicious, and you can tell by taste the Spanish culture that is behind it.

It was well seasoned, and very flavorful. And the best part? It was full of those little shrimps that made it all better.

Oasis’ Glazed Blondies and Avocado Panna Cotta with Roasted Fresh Mango

This one came off to me a bit quirky, but utterly satisfying.

Different textures from the nuts, the mangoes, and avocado Panna cotta is what made this dish interestingly yummy.

Red Lantern’s Wuxi Braised Ribs

These are your usual slightly sweet and very savory braised ribs, but elevated to a level of 5 stars.

The meat is not just tender. It melts in your mouth almost (but not quite) like chocolate! Definitely have to order a whole bowl of Yang Chow or fried rice for this one… and you can probably finish the whole bowl with this dish!

Yakumi’s Ehou Maki

It’s your roll of sushi magnified to 1000%, because it has seven ingredients in and a traditional story behind it. As told by the head chef, this is a dish that is translated to Good Fortune, and is served during the end of winter.

This is served with actual wasabi, not the powdered paste kind, which made the experience better than your usual Japanese fare. Alone, the Maki was quite flavorful, and you can tell that it was carefully prepared and the ingredients were not skimped on.

Strip Steakhouse’s Pastrami-Spiced Black Angus Beef Short Ribs

This is one of the best cooked beef that I have tasted in my life so far, as it is so tender and juicy, but not to the point of it being medium or rare. It was actually easier to chew than the poached veggies that it had as a side. And that purple mustard that Chef Eric used was complementing the savory dish by giving it some edge and a slight tart. The mashed potatoes were just so creamy, buttery, and flavorful.

Hope you guys can come to Solaire sometime and get a bite of these wonderful dishes prepared by world class chefs. Special thanks to Zomato for the foodie meet up!
