Silka, one of the most recognized skin care brands in the market, is celebrating 15 amazing years of providing enviably soft and beautiful skin to Filipinas by launching new product variants. And yesterday, I was fortunate to have the luxury of time to drop by the Trinoma activity center to take part in their celebration!
As most Pinoys, I’m very much familiar with the Silka brand. I even regularly use their body wash at home. It’s actually a regular item which my family uses for many years. =)
The whole day event featured various fun interactive booths showcasing each Silka product…
There was even a booth that offered free make-up/make-overs, so girls could look and feel great, not to mention get pro make-up tips as well.

Me and Cristelle were thrilled to know that Silka actually has lotions with SPF protection… Great to bring during trips!
Silka also launched their new Silka Premium Moisturizing Lotion with SPF23 and Silka Moisturizing Soap with Avocado Oil and Almond Milk Protein as well as the Silka Whitening Soap with Shea Butter, which joins and complemented the Silka Whitening Lotion SPF23 with Shea Butter introduced in 2013.
Of course, I had to try and test them out and my verdict…. both variants may feel oily at first, but when it dries on your skin, you won’t feel any sticky after-feel! =)
Both also smelled really nice! I’ve always been a Shea Butter user and Silka’s Shea Butter lotion very much resembles other imported brands. I fell in-love with the Avocado Oil lotion because of its relaxing sophisticated scent. Can’t wait to try and use it regularly! =)
Silka Premium Moisturizing Lotion with SPF23 and Silka Moisturizing Soap with Avocado Oil and Almond Milk Protein is especially-formulated with avocado oil and almond milk. Aside from providing smoother, fairer skin, the lotion comes with SPF23 to protect the skin from the harmful rays of the sun.
The lotion is available in three sizes, 50ml, 100ml and 200ml.
