We’re all familiar with William Shakespeare’s works, but not many of us have gotten the chance to watch the stories come to life on stage. Well, now we can, thanks to Shakespeare’s Globe Theater!
The London theater is bringing all of the playwright’s iconic plays online where audiences from around the world can watch completely for FREE! One production will be shown every two weeks beginning April to June on the theater’s own public streaming platform, Globe Player, as well as its official YouTube account, Shakespeare’s Globe.
The campaign already kicked off with 2018’s Hamlet from April 6 to 19 and is now currently streaming the 2009 production of Romeo and Juliet.
The full list is as follows:
- Hamlet (2018), April 6-19
- Romeo and Juliet (2009), April 20-May 3
- The Two Noble Kinsmen (2018), May 4-17
- The Winter’s Tale (2018), May 18-31
- The Merry Wives of Windsor (2019), June 1-14
- A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2013), June 15-28
The Globe is also making available to stream many other productions in other languages, the complete list of which can be found here.
