Selena Gomez Releases 2 Breakup Songs and The Tea is Good

Selena Gomez Look at Her Now

One of the biggest breakups in showbiz is that of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. After dating from 2010 to 2012, they reconciled and broke up again in 2013, 2014, and 2015. In 2017, they gave it another shot until finally breaking it off in 2018. Now, Bieber is married to Hailey Baldwin.

Gomez has released two new songs and fans are speculating it’s based on her relationship with Bieber.

The first one is called “Lose You to Love Me,” which has the lyrics “You promised the world and I fell for it. I put you first and you adored it. Set fires to my forest and you let it burn. Sang off-key in my chorus, ’cause it wasn’t yours. I saw the signs and I ignored it. Rose-colored glasses all distorted. Set fire to my purpose and I let it burn.”

The second verse also seems to reference the Jelena couple’s on-and-off relationship. Soon after, Justin went public with his new romance with Baldwin and eventually married her in two separate ceremonies.

“I gave my all and they all know it. Then you tore me down and now it’s showing. In two months, you replaced us like it was easy. Made me think I deserved it in the thick of healing,” Gomez sings in the song.

The second song is called “Look at Her Now,” which is a more uplifting and upbeat song. Here, Gomez sings, “Took a few years to soak up the tears. But look at her now. Watch her go.”

One line even goes, “Of course she was sad but now she’s glad she dodged a bullet.”
