SB19’s Josh Cullen does not mince his words as he boldly speaks out against corruption.

On September 20, Josh shared a video of himself and fellow member Pablo performing their song Kapangyarihan. Towards the end of the clip, the rapper ended the performance with a powerful statement—ending with a curse word.
“Ninanakawan niyo kami tapos gusto magpigil at maging mabait pa rin (You’re stealing from us, and yet you expect us to hold back and stay kind)?” he captioned the post.
While most fans and followers praised them for using their platform to raise socio-political issues, the video also drew criticism from some viewers.
In response to these comments, the 31-year-old P-pop idol said: “Sa mga nag ccomment na ‘Lasing’? ‘Sabog’? Baka kayo ‘yon. Tulog ba kayo nitong mga nakaraang linggo? Kung wala kang context, huwag na makisali (To those commenting “Drunk?” “High?” Maybe that’s you. Have you been asleep these past few weeks? If you don’t know the context, better not get involved).”
“Minsan lang kami magsalita. Pigil pa nga (We rarely speak up. We have to hold back),” he added. “Don’t mock people who actually care about what’s happening in our country.”
The P-pop idol didn’t hold back. On X, he responded to a now-deleted tweet.
“Apologies if my millions in taxes and one curse word ruined your day. I’ll try to be happier while being robbed,” he wrote.
SB19 is set to hold their much-awaited fashion concert on October 26 at the Araneta Coliseum, which marks their seventh anniversary and reunion with world-renowned fashion designer Francis Libiran.
