SB19 continues to make its mark not only in the local music industry but on the international scene as the Pinoy 5-piece band was recognized in Teen Vogue’s list of “Favorite Boy Bands of All Time.”
On July 14, the American online publication released an article listing notable boy bands across the world, through the years, and from various music genres. SB19 was among the 33 included, cited for having “continued achieving heights of popularity in early 2022 with the release of their hit ‘Bazinga’.” Their music video for “What?” was likewise featured in the article.
Other bands named in the list were The Beatles, One Direction, Backstreet Boys, Westlife, *NSYNC, The Jonas Brothers, and various K-pop bands like BTS, SEVENTEEN, SHINee, and EXO.
SB19, composed of Josh, Pablo, Stell, Ken, and Justin, has achieved many international milestones with its music ever since its debut. The band has surpassed BTS for most weeks spent at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart. They were also the first Pinoys and the first Southeast Asian act to ever be nominated for Top Social Act in the Billboard Music Awards. They’ve also appeared several times on different Billboard charts.
