Salted Caramel Oreo is now a thing and we want mOREO of it, stat

You’ve been struck by a smooth caramel~

Twist. Lick. Dunk.

Who doesn’t love a good Oreo? Popular among kids and adults alike, it’s basically made up of two chocolatey cookie and sweet cream at the center. The Yin and Yang of cookies, so to speak.

Being a versatile cookie and a well-loved brand, Oreo has taken on many different flavors. These include classics like red velvet, peanut butter, and chocolate, along with quirky ones like Swedish fish or Cherry Cola. Yes, some Oreo flavors are exclusive per country, and it has become something like a treasure hunt to find unique versions of this sandwich cookie.

Thanks to a tip from food blogger Cherrie Lyn Batara Pinzon (IG: @chizbun), we’ve recently chanced upon a new Oreo flavor— one that is available locally. And it’s a real treat for those who like caramel because yes, it’s a Salted Caramel Oreo!

According to the post made by Chizbun, the Salted Caramel Oreo features a golden brown cream filling that is sweet and salty. She adds that it “definitely (tastes) like the Salted Caramel flavor you loved in your ice cream or coffee”. But like any Oreo cookie, she recommends dunking it in milk “for a more delicious and satisfying combo”.

Curious (and because I wanted to snag some for myself), I asked Cherrie where she bought hers. She then told me that this special edition Oreo came from SM Sucat for PHP 82.50 a pack. Inside, you will find 9 packs of 3’s— perfect for sharing with friends and family.

Although no official announcement has been made as to whether these will be available nationwide and for how long, we think that this flavor is something worth trying.
