Chester gave me a cut that changed my hair parting ; a tad different from the very first time he did my hair. He made my face frame smaller which I totally liked. As for the colouring part, I told him I want the natural highlights this time around. Back to Basics, Back to Brown. The question is, finding that good base for the natural brown highlights. I wanted the ash colour but he suggested that it might not come out vividly due to my hair texture. Wow, I learned something! Hair texture can do affect a lot huh? So he applied ash brown for my base instead, then as for highlights , he gave me…..light brown/caramel which I ended up loving!
The best part of this hair pamper session? I do not have to worry about getting hair damage like splitends or dryness; SALON DE CHOIX gives my hair the apt treatment it needs, so it’s still safe to color it again; yes! I do not have to wait for the 6 agonizing months just to recolor my tresses.
There was a slight tinge of red (from the previous balayage highlights) but I like the way on how the trio of ash brown, red and caramel blends well together. His idea of the caramel light brown shade gave my hair a subtle yet decadent look, caramel locks it is! This was totally different from the red balayage highlights I had before; the ash brown base just gave me the warmth I wanted and the caramel highlights bring me an instant pop. From my point of view,this is what usually happens when we go to a salon: ” What we asked for was not what we actually wanted.” I’m glad my stylist is always ready to share his inputs and no, I did not show him any picture this time. Sometimes I feel it complicates things more you see and it’s better that way, avoiding all sorts of comparison. The stylists in SALON DE CHOIX never hesitate to voice out their opinion and feedback; but fret not they handle it in a professional way. They do not offend customers in any way at all, that is one cookie that is tough to break. There may be other customers who are extra sensitive, but so far all their customers’ feedback are positive.
