OPM singer Ronnie Liang is advocating the importance of having an education as he reveals to fans and friends on Instagram his latest life goal: a master’s degree.
Ronnie shared a photo of his ID from the Philippine Christian University where he is currently enrolled to pursue his master’s degree in national security and administration. He takes virtual classes every Saturday.
“Truly, Learning has No boundaries, Learning has No Limits,” he wrote in his post.
In a statement sent to PEP.ph, Ronnie added that the pandemic made him realize how vital education is when achieving success in life and admitted that he still has a lot to learn.
“I said to myself na kailangan kong matuto pa — mga bagay na hindi ko pa alam. That’s why I took the chance na mag-enroll,” he said. “We really should value education. Habang may oras ka pa, learn and study. I’m doing this to improve myself and also to inspire others na rin na hindi hadlang ang pandemic upang matuto.”
He also explained that he chose a course related to his background as an Army reservist.
Having fulfilled milestone after milestone in his life in the recent years—such as being a licensed private pilot, having a showbiz career, and fulfilling his obligations in the Philippine Army—all Ronnie has to say is that time management and discipline are key to achieving great things in your life.
“I always make sure na tama ang oras ko sa bawat bagay na ginagawa ko. Hindi puwedeng naka-focus lang ang oras mo sa isang bagay. Lahat naman ng ginagawa ko ay para ma-inspire ang kabataan. I sing for the people. I dedicate my service to Filipinos. Importante rin ang disiplina sa sarili. I believe na kapag disiplinado ka, mas malaki ang chance mong maabot ang goal mo sa buhay.”
