“Finally, I’ve gotten my license as a Pilot (PPL) after countless sleepless nights of studying and a multitude of flying hours of training,” he wrote on his post. “My childhood dream when I was in 4th grade has now [been] materialized. The former Pinoy Dream Academy contestant started his flying lessons in October 2018 and had his first solo flight in Subic in 2019. The PPL is a certificate needed in order to act as a pilot in command of a small aircraft privately. It is the first major milestone for any aspiring airline pilot.

Ronnie also took part in the Reserved Officers’ Training Corps in college. In 2018, he decided to be part of the Army Reserve. In February 2020, he was promoted to second lieutenant after undergoing training at the Armor Division at Camp O’Donnell in Tarlac.
