The Philippine pop industry is no doubt for its capability to rise despite the global pandemic and the struggles to shine in the midst of the challenges faced by the entertainment and local music scene. We can see it right from our very eyes how we stand again and bounce back with the current happenings from jam-packed concerts and convention, topping hits on music charts and radio airwaves, left and right online programs and TV shows featuring PPOP artists and noticeable product endorsements and commercials plus a huge domination in the social media platforms with the surprising trends of the growing PPOP community.
Following the spark started by the advocate and founder of PPOP Awards in 2016, Jhon Mark “Yuan” Quiblat who was an awardee for Dangal ng Lahi for Most Exceptional Filipino Advocate for Culture and Arts stood up by his belief in the talents of the Filipino young artists that needed to be recognized and acknowledge the artist’s contribution in the evolvement of the Philippine pop culture. An awarding platform was then given way to the young artists and their talent management to pay off with the hard work to produce and develop world class artists that excel in fields of music and performing arts.
This year 2022 makes PPOP rise to its benchmark expectations and now fully grown with numerous groups launched and debuted from the different talent managements and entertainment agencies that marks a footprint to the exciting journey of PPOP stardom making proud of the best of the Philippine pop artists of this generation.

These sets of nominees were picked by the awards committee based on the evaluation according to the guidelines of the nomination process for this year which includes the artist’s official launch and debuted from November 2021 to the first quarter of 2022. Selection of the official nominees has been made through the highest votes via reactions on the official page post where the PPOP community is given the voice or chance to choose their favorite PPOP groups to join the top 7 artists on this major category among other upcoming categories.
However, winners for this year’s major category will be voted by the awards jury comprising people from the music industry, film academy, academe, government agency and other professionals in the different fields of expertise to distinguish the choice representing the general public which related to the objective of PPOP Awards.

PPOP Awards aim to ignite the passion and aspiration of the Philippine pop industry in developing creative and innovative resources in transforming a better nation through the development of the young artists to contribute to our country’s economy in raising and bringing the Philippine Pop culture to the global stage.
Happening on November 24 at the world class venue Okada Manila – The Grand Ballroom with special performances of this year’s nominees BGYO, BINI, 1ST ONE, DIONE and PRESS HIT PLAY plus more artists to be announce.
7th PPOP Awards is being presented by PPOP Artists League and Crystal Audio Productions.
