Everyone I know is going nuts over Pony Philippines’ announcement that their Pony City Wings are back! My boyfriend in particular is incredibly excited because these shoes were iconic back in the 70s and 80s, representing the rich history and heritage of New York City at the same time.
The Pony City Wings are most famous for having been worn by Atlanta Hawks’ Spud Webb back in 1986 when he won the NBA Slam Dunk competition with perfect 50-point scores.
Even Michael Jordan was in awe of him! And well, his shoes were AWESOME!
The colours of his Pony shoes were classic – a combination of black, red and white, and we can’t wait to get our hands on a pair soon. In fact, I can’t wait to see the different colorways that the pair might come out in, either. Plus, I heard the leather on the shoes is classy, too.
