Photos: Miss World Philippines Catriona Gray Dazzles on IG

On Sunday, we crowned our newest Miss World Philippines.

23 ladies battled for the crown and the dazzling Catriona Gray won it.

She will represent our country in the Miss World 2016 pageant to be held in Washington DC on December.

Catriona is a Filipino-Australian model from Oas, Albay.

She was an early crowd favorite. She also won almost all of the special awards such as the Best in Swimsuit and Best in Long Gown.

Her answer to the final question was the icing on the proverbial cake. She was asked why she should be the new Miss World Philippines and she answered:

To be a Miss World is to pass the torch that burns with passion and purpose. If I am to become Miss World Philippines, I would dedicate my voice and essence to carry that torch and to set charitable causes alike such as my personal advocacy, the Paraiso: Bright Beginnings Project. I would focus on passing on this torch to empower others because I believe together, there is no darkness in this world that our light can’t overcome.
