PHLPost encourages govt offices to use the Filipino language in more correspondences

In celebration of World Post Day on October 09, the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) and Commission on the Filipino Language (CFL) will conduct a one day Webinar on the proper use of Filipino, the country’s national language on government official correspondence in PHLPost Central and Easter Visayas Area (CEVA) post offices located in Cebu, Samar, and Tacloban.

The said Webinar being conducted by the Commission on the Filipino Language (CFL) in various government offices is in line with their mission to undertake, coordinate and implement research programs and projects for the further development and enrichment of the Filipino language.

The Seminar will focus on the proper use of the Filipino language in PHLPost official transactions, communications, and correspondences, as well as public service undertakings.

This is in compliance with Executive Order 335 which mandates the use of Filipino language in official transactions, communications, and correspondence in government offices which will hasten greater understanding and appreciation among the people of government programs, projects, and activities throughout the country, thereby serving as an instrument of unity and peace for national progress.
