We definitely didn’t see this coming, but Paul Rudd is in the final stages of negotiations to join the latest Ghostbusters movie. Variety reported that Rudd will play a teacher in the film.
Jason Reitman (son of Ivan Reitman, who directed the original Ghostbusters film in 1985) will be spearheading the production as the director. Filming will reportedly begin in the third quarter of the year.
No plot details have been revealed yet, but the new Ghostbusters would be a sort of extension of the original “Ghostbusters”. According to the report by Variety, the story will focus on a single mom and her family.

“Ghostbusters 2020” is expected to be released summer of next year.
