The mother of Angelica Yap (a.k.a. Pastillas Girl) was shot and killed in Caloocan. According to ABS-CBN news, Mrs. Teresa Yap was shot in the back of the head by an alleged gunman last night.
Mrs. Yap was with one of her daughters and niece and about to eat at an eatery when the gunman approached her from behind, then shot her at close range.
Mrs. Yap first appeared on the noontime show, “It’s Showtime,” when she defended her daughter from bashers.
It was also mentioned in the news, that they brought Teresa Yap to the hospital, unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at 9:20 pm.
The It’s Showtime star immediately went to the hospital when she learned about the horrible incident.
Furthermore, the report indicated that Mrs. Yap received death threats via text messages, stating that she’s “done” before Christmas. The death threats were, however, ignored by Mrs. Yap. Moreover, Mrs. Teresa Yap was also a Barangay official at Barangay 137 in Caloocan City.
Momentarily, the police officials are still investigating the incident and believed to have a copy of the CCTV that captured the unfortunate event.
Several months ago, the mom was in the spotlight and was accused by a women’s group, Gabriela, for soliciting her daughter to enter a relationship.
