If you’re taking the LRT-2 soon, here’s something to note: starting April 27, 2026, passengers can park for free at the Santolan station parking lot.
According to the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the initiative aims to encourage more vehicle owners to use the train system, potentially reducing fuel costs and travel time.

Free parking will be available daily from 4:00 AM to 11:30 PM, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Here’s how it works:
- Get a parking stub from LRTA security at the Santolan station parking area
- After your train ride, have the stub validated at any LRT-2 Passenger Assistance Office (except Santolan station)
- Present the validated stub when exiting the parking lot
The move follows a broader push to make commuting more efficient, alongside existing measures like the 50% fare discount for select passengers and ticket types.
