The epicenter of the outbreak has been identified as the city of Daegu with over 1,000 confirmed cases and another 1,000 in isolation. After being declared a “special management zone” by the South Korean government, numerous Korean actors and actresses were compelled to put donations towards addressing the outbreak.

One of those actors was Park Seo-joon, who donated a whopping 100 million Won or around Php 4.2 million. It was given to the Daegu Community Chest of Korea. The money will go towards purchasing devices needed to treat patients with Coronavirus.

“After hearing news that Daegu lacks ‘negative-pressure rooms’ to isolate the patients and other essential medical equipment for treatment, the actor donated his money to help it purchase the equipment,” said the organization.

Other Korean stars have also contributed, such as Lee Young-ae and Kim Go-eun. Son Ye-jin also donated the same amount as Park Seo-joon.
