Paramore fans, rejoice!
Paramore’s original drummer, Zac Farro is back in the band! Zac has confirmed his return for Paramore’s new album, which means he is going back to the studio to record with the band — and that’s it.
So he’s not going to be playing music with them for good once more? If we’re going to get anything from Zac’s statement, this seems unlikely. Zac recently spoke about his involvement in Paramore’s newest album:
“Theyโve asked me to play drums on their album, on their new album. So [Hayley] put it on their Instagram and put it on their website, and itโs no joke that Iโm back just playing drums for them on their album alongside with doing my HalfNoise stuff. Thatโs it, and thatโs literally all it is right now. No oneโs really asked cause Iโve kind of deterred the question, but Iโm doing HalfNoise โ thatโs my band. Theyโve asked me to drum, and it was like, โYeah, of course!โ Weโve always been friends, and yeah, there was a little bit of weirdness cause I left the band for a few years, but all that stuff is not even there anymore and thereโs no hard feelings and itโs just been rad and fun.
“
But still, even if it’s a temporary reunion, it’s a big deal for Paramore fans: Farro brothers Josh and Zac left the band in 2010 in less-than-amicable terms, with Josh even penning a blog post about Paramore being a “manufactured product” and how ex-girlfriend Hayley treated Paramore as a solo project.
Welcome back, Zac!
