Who here is guilty of doing “outfit checks” outdoors??? Pre-pandemic, people used to call them “influencers in the wild.” But today, it seems to have become a norm after the rise of TikTok during the pandemic, and then the excitement that came with finally being able to go outside.
And it’s not just ‘fit checks, it’s also all the other trends that are booming hand in hand with video content. While social media can be engaging for users to jump on these trends, Nicole Andersson posted a reminder to be wary of the real world.
The vlogger/host shared an Instagram Reel titled “Outfit Check Gone Wrong” where she is seen doing the typical poses–until someone snatches her bag. As she struggles to fight for it, somebody else grabs her phone where she’s recording too!
Of course, it was only a skit, and the snatchers were played by her friends and fellow creators Patricia Prieto and Leila Alcasid. Although, the moral of the story remains true. “This is a PSA to always be aware of your surroundings when doing fit checks,” Andersson captioned the post.
