ORO Ultimate 2014: Two-Day Ultimate Disc Event
If you’ve got a competitive team that just happens to be in the City of Golden Friendships in the next two weeks, then we’ve definitely got something for you to smile about. Cagayan de Oro, the provincial capital of Misamis Oriental, which is also referred to as the gateway, if not regional center, of the Northern Mindano region, is already known for outdoor recreational activities like tubing, horseback riding, and all levels of whitewater rafting. The Village Center CDO, however, is throwing Ultimate Disc into that mix.
Vista Malls’ The Village Center CDO, which is the heart of Gran Europa, a master-planned, family-oriented community in Barangay Lumbia, in uptown Cagayan de Oro, is holding a two-day Ultimate Disc Event that would not only help you enjoy this fun, limited-contact field sport, but more importantly, give your team a shot at representing Cagayan de Oro at the Philippine Ultimate Association.
The Ultimate Disc Clinic will begin at 8:00 am on May 17, coached by Peng Manlapaz, President of Philippines Ultimate Association;
 Felix Angue, Corporate Secretary and Vice President for Strategic Development; and, Jamael Pangandaman, Vice President for Education. Brush up on strategies like the Vertical and Horizontal Stacks; offensive plays like Feature, Spread, and Tri-Force; and, defense moves like Force, Wedge and Electric Slide.
Your team can then practice your awesome moves at a Tournament from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm that same day
, and if you qualify, at the next phase starting at 8:00 am on May 18. Awarding ceremonies will be held at 4:00 pm that same day.
Up for grabs are bragging rights that, yes, your team has got that Midas touch, and proof that when it comes to events at The Village Center CDO, which services the exclusive villages of La Buena Vida; the Italian styled homes of Montana Vista; the Spanish-Mediterranean feel of Frontiera; Portico, the 20-hectar neighborhood patterned after rustic Spain; Lessandra Heights; and, La Mirande, which finds inspiration from Provence — all that glitters can truly be turned to gold.
