The original sang’gres of the hit drama fantasy series Encantadia had a nostalgic reunion on It’s Showtime! Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon, and Diana Zubiri made a surprise appearance in their costumes during Karylle’s Magpasikat performance alongside Amy Perez, Lassy, and MC.
Encantadia fans and the madlang people were in awe seeing the OG sang’gres together! Karylle revealed that Zubiri traveled all the way from Australia to join the special performance and reunion. We love the sisterhood on and off cam!

“Syempre napapayag ako dahil sa pamilya. Namiss ko kayo,” Zubiri said when asked by Jhong Hilario how did the actresses agreed to participate in the performance.
“Wala nang tanong-tanong pa, sabi nga ni Diana di ba pamilya, so andito kami syempre para suportahan ang kapatid naming si Karylle. Isang tawag lang niyan, magkakapit-bisig talaga kami para sa isa’t isa,” Calzado emphasized.
Meanwhile, Dizon became emotional, expressing her appreciation to Karylle, “To be honest, I called K [Karylle]. I was apologizing at first kasi nga sabi ko baka di kayanin ng schedule. But then, you know, K is such a wonderful friend. You can always count on her, and I think it’s such a beautiful thing that we are all together again here.”
Karylle thanked Encantadia‘s director, Mark Reyes for helping her pull off the surprise reunion, “Shoutout sa aming direktor, Direk Mark Reyes, isa sa talagang bumuo sa aming grupo. Thank you so much for helping me with the big surprise.”
Other performers that graced Karylle, Amy Perez, Lassy, and MC’s Magpasikat performance were BGYO, BINI, Taylor Sheesh, Roselle Nava, and Fana. Kapuso actor David Licauco also joined the production, which marked his first appearance at the noontime show.

Following the reboot in 2016, Encantadia will have its spin-off series Sang’gre, starring Bianca Umali, Faith da Silva, Kelvin Miranda, and Angel Guardian.
