After taking the Internet by storm and being praised by critics, The Haunting of Hill House grew quite a bit of a following during its run. As such, the demand for a second season rose, as well, and this was granted almost immediately.
While the story of the Crain family ended in season one, season two, titled The Haunting of Bly Manor, will follow the story of a different family. Based on Turn of the Screw, a psychological gothic novel from Henry James, Bly Manor will follow the story of a young governess who looks after two orphaned children in an old mansion.
On June 28, Deadline reported that Hill House actress Victoria Pedretti will lead the new season as the governess, Dani. The actress confirmed the casting in a video message posted on the Hill House official Twitter account.

Fans around the world rejoiced. Pedretti played Nell Crain in Hill House and was a big fan favorite. Does this also mean that the other cast members could be returning for Bly Manor? There hasn’t been any new casting news since Pedretti’s, but we’ll definitely keep an eye out. The Haunting of Bly Manor is set to premiere sometime in 2020.
