NBA legend Glen Rice is coming back to Manila!

As part of its Filipino Heritage Week, the NBA will fly in Glen Rice to the Philippines for a few days!

It will be Rice’s second visit to the country — he played in an exhibition game here back in 2010.

For those of you who didn’t get to see him play, Rice was a great shooter and scorer during his prime. He became an NBA champion while playing for the Lakers in the 1999-2000 season, but his best playing years were with the Charlotte Hornets.

In the 1996-97 season, he averaged 26.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists. And he shot 47% from the three-point area that year!

INSANE!! Here’s a video of him lighting it up in the 1997 NBA All-Star Game.

FYI, he happened to score the most points in a quarter in All-Star history with 20 points before Anthony Davis tied his record this year.

Anyway, he’ll be here in Manila to headline some of the activities during NBA Filipino Heritage Week!

Aside from an NBA Cares event, Rice will be present at the viewing parties on March 18 and March 19 at the Bonifacio High Street amphitheater.

I’m gonna be there and I hope I get a chance to talk to the NBA legend. Who else is going??

If you could ask Glen Rice one question, what would it be?
