Are you ready for the NBA’s first ever Filipino Heritage Week?

To celebrate the Philippine culture of its million of Filipino fans around the world, the NBA will have its first ever Filipino Heritage Week!

That’s right. Because we Filipinos love basketball so much, the NBA decided to pay tribute to us for one whole week, March 13 to 19. During this period, an NBA legend will visit Manila and will take part in special viewing parties and NBA Cares event!

Three particular games will be shown on local television channels in line with the Filipino Heritage Week:

  • March 16 (March 15 in the U.S.) – Heat vs. New Orleans Pelicans
  • March 18 (March 17 in the U.S.) – Heat vs. Timberwolves
  • March 19 (March 18 in the U.S.) – Warriors vs. Bucks

The NBA even came out with specially designed shirts for this momentous celebration!

The shirt features a silhouette of a jeepney, which looks pretty similar to our WhenInManila.com logo! How cool is that?!
