I love desserts and it’s always a good thing when I can get them without leaving the comforts of my own home.
Qkies, whom we found online, is a godsend for those who have sweet tooth. More active on Facebook and Instagram, Qkies by Tinibie’s started in 2014 and is based in Paranaque. They offer the best cookies, cakes, and pastries by mompreneur Tine Nabong-Quijano. She shared that she started the business with just cookies and her oven toaster, and only started making cakes, cupcakes, pastries and other special orders in 2016.
Though perfect to munch on, Qkies’ treats are also perfect as tasty giveaways for special occasions.
Though I love desserts, I am not really a fan of carrot cake. Most carrot cakes I have tasted were either bland, bitter, or too sweet. But Qkies’ Naked Carrot Cake looked so irresistible that I had to take a bite.
Just look at that beautiful piece of cake!
As soon as you slice into it, you will see how moist and decadent that cake is.
Filled and topped with cream cheese and nuts, the Naked Carrot Cake has the perfect balance of softness from the bread itself, chewiness from the carrots and crunch with the nuts. I just wanted a bite but I ended up eating half of it in one seating.
Another hit is the White Chocolate Mango Cheesecake.
The beautifully arranged mango slices on top of the smooth cheesecake are perfect to pair with tea or coffee. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to slice this cake but it smelled so good that I just had to do it.
Or, if you like something more bite-sized, you have to check out their Nutella Cream Cheese Qkie Chubby.
My 8-year old brother loved the cookies especially how big and filling they are. The cream cheese and Nutella filling in the middle is an explosion in your mouth. This chewy cookie is perfect to dip in some warm milk!
Last and definitely not the least is the Qkie Mallows.
It is a much simpler take on cookies and instead of the traditional chocolate chips, it has a marshmallow filling. It’s a combination of a cookie and smores. Eating it can be a little messy because of the super sticky marshmallows, but who cares when it’s this tasty?
