“My Love Will Make You Disappear” Sets New Record for 2025 Local Films

Good news for KimPau fans! Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino’s new film, “My Love Will Make You Disappear,” set a new record for an opening day.

On March 27, Star Cinema announced that the rom-com film broke new records for local films released this year.

“Damang dama namin ang (We can really feel the) KimPau-wer na love and support on our opening day!” Star Cinema wrote. “‘My Love Will Make You Disappear’ records Php12 Million [in] ticket sales and is now so far the highest opening day gross among all local films in the 2025 Philippine Box-Office!”

“My Love Will Make You Disappear,” which premiered in the Philippines on March 26, marks Kim and Paulo’s big-screen debut together. The film follows a young woman named Sari, who believes she is cursed, as every man she has ever fallen in love with has mysteriously disappeared from her life.

Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino are both award-winning actors who have previously worked together on television projects such as Linlang and What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.
