Attention, female commuters!
The MRT-3 will offer free rides for women passengers on International Women’s Day, March 8, from 7 AM to 9 AM and 5 PM to 9 PM.

In a statement, MRT-3 General Manager Oscar Bongon noted that the initiative aims to acknowledge and express gratitude to women for their significant contributions to society.
“Ang lireng sakay po ay simpleng paraan ng MRT-3 upang maipakita ang suporta sa bawat Juana at mabigyang-pugay ang kanilang mga sakripisyo para sa kanilang mga pamilya (The free ride is a simple way for MRT-3 to show support for every Juana and to honor their sacrifices for their families),” he said, adding that the MRT-3 hopes the free rides will provide comfort to women on their special day.
Similarly, the LRT-2 is offering free rides and haircuts for women passengers in celebration of Women’s Month this March.
