As the No-Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) resumes, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) warned the public against a fake NCAP violation checker circulating online.

In a social media advisory, the MMDA clarified that the link claiming to verify if a motorist has an NCAP violation is not official.
“Ang kumakalat na link ukol sa ‘May Violation Ba?’ na nagsasabing pwede mong check online kung nahuli ka sa No Contact Apprehension Program ay hindi opisyal (The circulating link about ‘May Violation Ba?’ claiming that you can check online if you’ve been caught under the No Contact Apprehension Program is not official),” the post noted.
This warning came after several unofficial posts claiming to allow motorists to check their NCAP violations circulated online.
The MMDA also urged the public to avoid posting and sharing the link to prevent confusion among motorists, and not to input their license number on the website.
“Maging maingat at mapanuri. Ang pagkakaroon ng website ukol sa No Contact Apprehension Policy ay kasalukuyang inaayos ng MMDA para makapagbigay ng magandang serbisyo at ipababatid ito sa publiko sa susunod na linggo (Be cautious and discerning. The website for the No Contact Apprehension Policy is currently being developed by the MMDA to provide better service and will be announced to the public next week),” the post concluded.
The NCAP resumed on May 26 after the temporary restraining order (TRO) against it was partially lifted.
