Mika Salamanca reflects on her journey following her historic win in the first-ever “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab” edition alongside her duo partner, Brent Manalo.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Mika gave fans and followers a glimpse into her PBB journey—featuring a selfie from the moment she found out she would be an official housemate, a screenshot showing she got the lowest score in the “nagpapakatotoo” task, and a candid moment with co-housemate Bianca de Vera inside the iconic confession room.

“Pumasok ako ng PBB na may dalang konting damit at pangarap lang, kaya hindi ko inexpect na aabot ako sa dulo (I entered PBB with just a few clothes and a dream, so I didn’t expect to make it to the end),” she wrote.
“10 years ago, di ako pinalad na makapasok sa PBB, siguro dahil hindi pa ako ready (I wasn’t fortunate enough to enter PBB because I am not yet ready),” she shared. “I’m a firm believer that when plans don’t go your way, it’s because God has a bigger one, at ito yun (and this one’s it).”
However, great timing and her genuine heart were among the key ingredients that made her earn her well-deserved “Big Winner” title.
Following her win, the popular social media personality revealed that she’s still in awe of the achievement. At the same time, she thanked everyone for allowing her to “reintroduce” herself to the public once more.
“Hanggang ngayon po hindi ko pa rin po maintindihan kung ano ang ginawa kong tama sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya para maging ‘Big Winner’ dahil ang ginawa ko lang naman po ay ang bilin ng mga mahal ko sa buhay—ang maging ako (Up to now, I still don’t understand what I did right inside Kuya’s house to become the ‘Big Winner,’ because all I really did was follow what my loved ones told me—to just be myself),” she said.
“Thank you for letting me reintroduce myself. Words are not enough to explain how overwhelmed I am sa lahat ng sumalubong na pagmamahal sa amin (for the love that we receive).”
She also expressed her gratitude to her PBB duo, Brent, for being an integral part of her journey and for standing by her every step of the way.”
To Brent, welcome to the outside world, partner. If not for you, this wouldn’t have been possible. From your manifestation sa first duo formation to being the final duo to being the first duo big winner! You really made this journey easier by carrying my emotions with me. You never made me feel na mabigat yung baggage ko kasi lagi kang ready na sumalo. And kahit nasa labas na tayo, walang magbabago (You never made me feel like my baggage was too heavy, because you were always ready to carry it with me. And even now that we’re outside, nothing will change). I got you. You got me.”
On July 5, the duo of Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo (BreKa) was declared the Big Winners of the “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab” edition, the first-ever collaboration between GMA and ABS-CBN in celebration of the show’s 20th anniversary this year.

At the Big Night held at the New Frontier Theater, the powerful duo (BreKa) earned 33.03% of the votes—a significantly higher number compared to Ralph de Leon and Will Ashley (RaWi), who came in second with 25.88%.
Meanwhile, Charlie Fleming and Esnyr (Chares) placed third with 22.91% of the votes, while AZ Martinez and River Joseph (AZVer) secured the fourth Big Placer spot with 8.77%.
Mika was already a popular content creator and actress before entering the PBB house. She has over 4 million subscribers on YouTube and more than 10 million followers on TikTok.
