Thailand Tatler first picked up on this tan prince, who’s easily one of the most eligible bachelors in Asia. Thanks to the internet, word continues to spread about this dashing young prince who graces his fans with updates from an active Instagram account.
Prince Mateen is 25, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and can clearly rock a suit, but there’s more to this stylish, dark, and handsome monarch that’s steadily capturing the hearts of girls all over Asia, as well as around the world. He’s the tenth child of Hassanah Bolkiah, Sultan of Brunei.
Prince Mateen was born on August 10, 1991 to Hassanal, Sultan of Brunei (aka the king), and his former second wife, Mariam. Whoever gets to be his lucky girlfriend will have to do some serious mingling with a large family!
He’s fourth in line for the Bruneian crown.
Being the fourth son can make one’s claim to the throne rather distant (the Sultan has seven daughters and five sons), so although your dreams of becoming the Bruneian Kate Middleton may be crushed, this just means that your relationship won’t face as much pressure. Woohoo!
Prince Mateen loves the sports and outdoors.
To keep up with this royal, you’ll need to have lots of energy.
