Maymay Entrata’s mother, Lorna Entrata, has passed away.

On May 16, the actress-singer announced the heartbreaking news and penned a message to her beloved mother through an Instagram post.
“Mahal kong Inay, Isang malaking karangalan na ikaw ang naging Inay ko. Matapang mong hinarap ang lahat ng pagsubok at sakrpisyo para maitaguyod kaming buong pamilya (My beloved mother, it is a great honor to have you as my mom. You bravely faced all the challenges and sacrifices to provide for our entire family),” she expressed.
“Mamimiss kita Inay, mamimiss ko ang taong nagmahal at habang buhay mamahalin ako nang buo. Sayo ko natutunan ang mag mahal ng walang kapalit at habang buhay dala dala ko lahat ng natutunan ko mula sayo (I’ll miss you, Inay. I’ll miss the person who loved me wholeheartedly and will love me for the rest of my life. From you, I learned how to love unconditionally, and I will carry everything I learned from you for the rest of my life).”
Maymay also took the time to remind her followers to spend more time with their loved ones and make them feel loved before it’s too late.
“Ito ang isa sa mga huli kong sinabi kay Inay bago siya pumanaw kaya hangga’t maaari, kasama n’yo pa ang mahal n’yo sa buhay.. yakapin nyo sila, iparamdam nyo kung gaano nyo sila kamahal, at huwag n’yong sayangin ang kahit isang araw na hindi ipinapakita po yon. Sapagkat darating ang araw na ang mga yakap ay alaala na lang, at ang mga salitang hindi nasabi ay magiging bigat sa puso. Huwag kayong maghintay ng huli bago magsimulang magmahal nang buo (This is one of the last things I said to my mother before she passed away. As long as your loved ones are still with you, hold them close, show them how much you love them, and don’t waste a single day without expressing it. Because the day will come when hugs will only be memories, and the words left unsaid will weigh heavily on your heart. Don’t wait until it’s too late to love wholeheartedly),” she emphasized.

In April, Maymay revealed that her mother, who was based in Japan, had been battling cancer for the past two years.
