Ara Davao remembered her father, Ricky Davao, in a heartfelt social media post.

The actress shared photos of his urn and moments from his wake alongside her loved ones. She expressed that the past weeks have felt empty without her father’s presence but noted that she finds solace in knowing he is now free from pain and suffering.
“Pa, itโs still so hard to believe that youโre gone. Many days will feel empty without you, but I find comfort in knowing youโre now free from pain and suffering. I know it wonโt be easy, but Iโll keep trying to live my best life everydayโbecause thatโs what you wouldโve wanted,” she wrote.
“Itโs been a week since you left us.. and a lifetime still to go. Iโll miss you everyday. Rest well and watch over me. Love you, Pa.”

On May 2, Ara confirmed Ricky’s passing due to cancer-related complications.
Ricky is a well-known Filipino actor and television director who began his career as a dancer in the 1970s. His notable roles include โBongbong and Kris,โ โSaranggola,โ โOn the Job 2: The Missing 8, and โFuccbois.โ One of his final projects was โSosyal Climbers,โ where he starred alongside Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings.
He was previously married to actress Jackie Lou Blanco, with whom he shared three children, including Ara.
