Marina said she has felt a sense of femininity since childhood. In her post, she explained that for years, she focused on other aspects of her life and career before feeling ready to prioritize her own journey.
“Last year, I finally gave myself permission to stop pausing. And start my transition. After years of questioning and pushing back, I finally made the beautiful decision to begin social transitioning early 2025,” she wrote.

As part of this journey, Marina has started hormone replacement therapy, a medical treatment that helps transgender individuals develop physical traits aligned with their gender identity. She described this step as “one of the best things that has ever happened” to her.
The drag artist also mentioned that she kept the initial stages of her transition private, focusing on her personal experience and self-reflection before sharing it more widely.
“From here on, I’d love for you all to get to know me more as the woman I’m becoming,” Marina added.
While she said there is still much to learn, Marina emphasized her commitment to honesty with both herself and her fans. She thanked her supporters for their kindness and respect as she continues this journey.
Marina Summers is known for competing on the first season of Drag Race Philippines and the second series of RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World.
