You can earn a college degree fully online from this university

Mapúa University is offering its topnotch engineering and information technology education to more students as it launches its fully online bachelor’s degree programs this academic year.

Approved by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Mapúa will be offering six fully online undergraduate engineering and IT programs. These include Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Technology. These courses will be classified under Mapúa Digital Academics.

“Our fully online undergraduate programs promote inclusivity in education, enabling access to Mapúa’s premier Engineering and Information Technology disciplines. It is also our way of expanding the reach of Mapúa,” said Mapúa University president and chief executive officer (CEO) Dr. Reynaldo B. Vea in a press briefing.

He added that these fully online degrees provide students with much academic leeway since the programs are self-paced. That way, students can learn on their own schedule. Plus, this set-up is ideal for working students and adults who also want to complete their bachelor’s degree.

Likewise, it is applicable to students living outside Metro Manila or in other countries who want to acquire a Mapúa education.

Cardinal EDGE Platform and Life Coaches

The advantages of enrolling in a fully online program will mean reduced costs for students. Some miscellaneous fees and study-associated costs such as transportation, lodging, and allowance will be lessened, among other expenses.

The online programs are very similar to their on-campus counterparts. Thus, students of fully online programs will get the same quality of education.

Here, students will learn on Mapúa’s own Cardinal EDGE platform. It features powerful learning tools and resources such as Coursera, Wiley and Cengage e-textbooks, McGraw-Hill Connect and Aleks, and Labster, among others. These tools and resources will give students access to recorded lectures, references, modules, and assessments anytime, anywhere.

Students enrolled in the fully online undergraduate programs will also be assisted by life coaches who will provide services such as career and academic advising, course scheduling, technical support, career placement, and others relating to student concerns.

Interested students may enroll at any term of the academic year through the Mapúa Digital Academics webpage.
